Registration closing date: 17th June 2012
This practical and interactive full day training session aims to help providers prepare for the implementation of functional skills in their vocational, adult and community and apprenticeship programmes. It will also provide an opportunity for participants to apply for LSIS support for functional skills from September.
Workshops will include topics such as:
• Initial and diagnostic assessment and target setting
There will be a chance to hear from providers who are already successfully implementing functional skills. The aim is to help managers and practitioners ensure that the quality of teaching and learning of functional skills is of a high standard, in order to meet the new Ofsted requirements.
Participants will also receive a free memory stick containing sample functional skills teaching and learning resources.
Who would benefit from attending?
Workplace assessors, managers, English and maths teachers and vocational teachers working to develop the functionality of their learners on apprenticeship programmes, vocational and adult and community learning programmes.
Delegates can pay using their LSIS accounts. Alternatively, payment can be made by debit/credit card.
